Segeln durch schmales Fahrwasser auf den Bijagós
Bevor wir die Bijagos verliessen, segelten wir durch enge Kanäle quer durch den Archipel. Das Echolot war das wichtigste Instrument an Bord und ich musste mich ganz auf die elektronische Karte und das GPS verlassen. Ich hatte schon vorher gemerkt, dass die Navigation auf den Bijagos ihre Tücken hat.

Before we left the Bijagos, we sailed across the archipelago through narrow channels. The depth sounder was the most important instrument on board and I had to rely entirely on the electronic chart and GPS. I had already realised before that navigation in the Bijagos has its pitfalls.
